- JOHN ROSEVELT came to Frontier is January of 1998
as part of Farm Marketing Division. He brings over 30 years of farming
experience. This experience includes producing corn, operating a
12,000-15,000 head farrow-to-finish hog operation, and hands on success
at using the futures markets. John was raised on the family farm near
Decatur, Michigan. He assumed control of the operation in 1964 while
still a senior at Michigan State University. John earned his Bachelor of
Science in Agricultural Engineering from Michigan State and was awarded
a fellowship to participate in The Kellog Farmers Study Program, a
three-year leadership training program for young farmers, emphasizing
economics and government and culminating in a world tour. He received
the 1980 Michigan Pork All American award. In 1996, John leased his land
for crop production and came to Chicago to pursue a career in the
futures industry as a broker for Packers Trading Company.
