Tyler
Martinez grew up in Porterville, CA where his father managed a 15,000
head cattle feedlot. Tyler has been in the cattle business ever since. He
graduated from Chico State University with a Bachelor of Science in Ag
Business in 1980. He went to work in the Commodity Futures business with
Western Farm Commodities, an Introducing Broker that cleared Heinold
Commodities.
In 1985 Tyler took over the management of the Red Bluff Bull
& Gelding Sale in Red Bluff, Ca. The sale is the largest graded bull
& gelding sale in the United States. He established the sale as one of
the premier livestock events held in the Western United
States.
In 1997 Tyler went back into the Commodity business full
time with Frontier Risk Management. Tyler is adept at assisting cattle
feeders with their risk management needs through use of the cattle crush,
as well as producers and end users of grain throughout the Northwest. He
also has cattle on feed and in growing lots so he understands the concerns
of the producer. He has many contacts in the cattle business in the
Northwest and would be glad to help you any way he can.
