KURT JOHNSON joined Frontier in January of 1998. Kurt
was raised in Iowa and assumed management of his family farming interest in
1979. This operation included a large farrow to finish hog operation, cattle
feeding and extensive corn and soybean crop production. Kurt began employing
the futures and options markets to hedge the farm operation inventories. In
1992, Kurt joined the Farm Marketing Group at Packers Trading Company. For
over 20 years, Kurt has developed an extensive network of pork industry
contacts. This cash hog information has gained significant industry
recognition and proves invaluable to Frontier's clients trading these
markets.
