COURTNEY BUERGER joined Frontier as a research analyst
in May of 2008. She helps support Frontier’s brokers and their customers
with market and economic analysis, developing price and production forecast
models, maintaining an extensive database, and specialized research
projects. Courtney is also a licensed broker and uses her research findings
to help develop strategies for managing risk for clients.
Courtney joined Frontier after receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University. Her background includes growing up and working on her family’s cotton and wheat farm in West Texas. In addition, she was involved in various agriculture programs and activities, such as showing cattle, FFA, and industry conferences throughout high school and college. This background allows her insight into the needs of clients. Her experiences prior to joining Frontier Risk Management include interning with Citibank and Merrill Lynch. While at Citibank she rotated throughout the commercial lending section to learn all the aspects of the credit process. Her intern experiences at Merrill Lynch include working with financial planners to analyze investing opportunities and building portfolio presentations for clients. She also worked as a commodity broker assistant at Southwest Ag Consulting.
